Description We developed a new hardware upgrade to solve many issues and add support for more bench protocols/password reading protocols on a lot of new ECU models! This upgraded adapter allows to work on CPUs of Infineon Tricore family, including TC1792, TC1793, TC1796 and TC1797. Check the video for all the instructions. You can use this device with any programmer supporting the CPU in bench mode, bootloader over CAN or JTAG.
Below are explained the improvements upon the old hardware:

*Some tools may not be able to read password via CCP which in some cases is the only way to get it, in this case pass reading will fail and bench mode will not work. And many other EDC17/ME17/MED17/MEVD17 series ECUs.
Non engine ECUs which also use TC179x CPUs will work as well in boot or JTAG mode. If protected (such as BMW F15 inverters), dedicated GPTs are provided by our staff and added to the list as we develop solutions. If your module is not present, ask us for support!
List of unsupported modules: ECUs within this list are readable/writable only if you already have the password file. Otherwise, you may connect but cannot read/write the CPU.

TROUBLESHOOTING:
If you have issues connecting, please follow this troubleshooting guide in this exact order: 1. CPU BGA pads are clean and enough pressure is applied to the processor. A mistake in this step will result in lack of communication, and you will also see very low current consumption - in a normal state, consumption will be 0.08A - 0.13A. If you see 0.04A, only the adapter is being powered!). Further note in some cases the CPU case may not fit exactly because of irregularities on the case, especially if its not a brand new CPU. So pay attention to this: slightly screwing back and forth the bolts that hold the 27x27 board can help moving it around to make sure the chip fits in place, do not remove the board to avoid damage to the adapter inner layer! Also, make sure the chip doesn't get stuck in the frame, as that means the needles may not touch, or will not be stable enough to allow communication. If you can't take out the chip with your hands by pushing to pull it out, it is stuck. 2. All connection caps are set according to the video or the suggestions of our staff. A mistake in this step will result in lack of communication (power values will not be wrong). 3. Tool is already tested by our staff (we mostly work with FLEX, Trasdata, VVDI Multiprog, PCMFlash). In our experience, it can happen that some tools may not support what other tools can do. Some tools will have no communication on the same ECUs other tools can support, for example. 4. Some CPUs installed on specific ECU models may not be readable due to password protections. Password protections are usually bypassed via CCP or GPT solutions that the tools need to have. If these solutions do not work, it can be because of the tool protocol, or because the connections are wrong. This will result in the tool able to connect to the CPU in boot mode, but unable to read/write. 5. If the CPU data is wrong (e.g. cloned from another CPU), the password data will be wrong, thus the tool cannot unlock the processor because it's data are properly read from the CPU FLASH memory, but the data do not match the real CPU password, which cannot be changed. As above, this will result in the tool able to connect to the CPU in boot mode, but unable to read/write. 6. Please note some connection points used for password reading are used on only certain special ECU models - if we did not test those, they may be not working and missing from the list above.
