OBDSTAR MT203 Smart Gateway Simulator and Platform Testing Device

 OBDSTAR MT203 is one of the most unique products in the automotive industry. Produced by OBDSTAR, it allows to simulate a vehicle gateway in order to allow access to ECUs which normally require a Gateway module connected to it.
While older car modules could be tested by simply connecting CAN, 12V and GND signals, more modern ones actually need a module in the middle to be woken up and start communicating, therefore platforms for these ECUs are more and more complicated, and require different gateway modules. This implies more time wasted making platforms, more money wasted purchasing them, and again more time wasted in looking for the platform you need in the midst of dozens put aside!

OBDSTAR MT203 solves much of these problems and more: besides the gateway function, it also has its own vehicle module platform testing functions. 
The cluster needs a CAN message to light up? MT203 can do it for you on its own.
Same thing for dozens of modules, from gear selector on Land Rover to the 48V alternator used on Audi Mild Hybrid, as well as many infotainment modules.

Up to here it looks like a professional device for fairly advanced electronic repair businesses, however in our opinion MT203 is so cheap that it entirely pays itself back even if you need to use it just once a month.
Next time you test a cluster or a module which requires special commands or a gateway, save yourself the time to look for a module somewhere in your lab and just plug MT203 to it.
