ECU CPU Read Write Adapter for BGA Motorola MPC56x MPC563 MPC564 MPC565 MPC566 CPUs solderless used on MED9 EDC16 ECUs

Descripción

My Supercar Expert now provides solderless adapters to read/write CPUs used on EDC16 and MED9 Bosch ECUs, type MPC56x series.

Note: MPC561 and MPC562, although common, do not need such an adapter as their internal memories are unused. They have no internal flash / .mpc file!

On MPC563 and MPC564, you need to use the MPC563/564 adapter, while the different adapter MPC565/566 is to be used for MPC565 and MPC566. Do not use the wrong adapter for your CPU to avoid damage!

Product has been tested to work with tools such as KTAG and xPROG, but be careful about pinning while connecting to avoid damaging CPU via 12V signals sent wrongly. Direct BDM cable connection without checking pinout might cause that!

Tested tools which did not work for us include:
Magicmotorsport FLEX (no communication)

Video guide for MPC565 with KTAG

Vdeo guide for MPC566 with KTAG

The CPU mentioned are used on ECUs of all kinds, including:
EDC16 series
ME9/MED9 series

And others.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

If you have issues connecting, please follow this troubleshooting guide in this exact order:
1. CPU BGA pads are clean and enough pressure is applied to the processor. A mistake in this step will result in lack of communication, and you will also see very low current consumption - in a normal state in bench mode, consumption will be 0.07A - 0.13A. If you see 0.04A, only the adapter is being powered!)
2. All connection caps are set according to the video or the suggestions of our staff. A mistake in this step will result in lack of communication (power values will not be wrong).
3. Tool is already tested by our staff (we mostly work with KTAG and xProg). In our experience, it can happen that some tools may not support what other tools can do. Some tools will have no communication on the same ECUs other tools can support, for example.
