Use our test platform to confirm the starter generator replacement for your Mercedes is working, or whether you repaired it properly!

This starter generator module is often having issues, meaning there is a market for repair as much as there is to test used modules before recycling them.

You will need a 48V power supply for this platform. We recommend to use a low current one (as low as 0.25A at 48V) for a simple test in any condition, and for stress tests, a bigger one (such as 40A at 48V).

The more the current provided, the faster the generator will spin. Thus you can control the spin via decreasing and increasing the current.

Be careful: the generator will not stop spinning when the platform is turned off. It will only do so when power is no longer provided (either 12V or 48V has to be disconnected).

If you have issues in starting your generator (such as inconsistent behavior), check our video for an explanation: generator should be in "STANDBY" mode, visible within the live data with any diagnosis! When generator is in emergency start, it will not take any command to start up and needs "silence" for few seconds before going into STANDBY mode again!
